Book Launch – Henry and his Horrendous Hiccups

Thu 18 Apr, 2:00 pm4:00 pm

About the event

A storytelling, activity and craft session for young children, with creative movement and dance, in the fabulous setting of the Festival Tipi.

Henry and his Horrendous Hiccups is a fun and exciting tale of hiccups, planets and a quest to solve the mystery of missing socks.

Local author Salma Zaman will launch her new children’s book with a ribbon cutting, followed by a storytelling session introducing Henry and his Horrendous Hiccups – a warm and funny story to fire children’s imagination.

Participants will then have the chance to take part in an interactive dance about space, incorporating simple movements to represent planets, stars and astronauts. The session will end with a craft activity where they can choose colours and shapes to create their own paper planets, while learning interesting facts about the solar system.

An engaging and educational experience for children, fostering their imagination and excitement about space travel.

SEND families welcome. Booking advised but drop-in places may also be available depending on numbers. Copies of the book will be available to buy on the day.

Salma Zaman is the author of Bollywood Princess, Help! I Can’t Dance Without My Bhangra Pants, Greedy Gertie, Sally and her Super Snot, Florence and her Fantastic Farts and the I Can Do Anything Colouring Book. She is also a qualified dance and drama teacher, with a Cert-Ed in teacher training and Special Educational Needs.
