The Lazy Book Club is a different kind of book club. There’s no set book or forced analytical discussion, this Book Club is for people who love reading and talking about books, but who don’t want the homework of having a specific book in time for the next meeting.  

 

The organisers ask people to bring along the book they’re reading, or a book they’ve read already. There are no real rules; share with others what you’re reading or have read and what you think about it, or just take the opportunity to hear recommendations from others.  

 

At every meeting there’s also time to indulge in uninterrupted reading. All welcome. No need to book, just turn up! 

 

The Lazy Book Club is the brainchild of Rosaleen Hird and Amy Libell. It was launched at HuddLitFest in 2024 and has continued with meetings on the first Tuesday of the month at the Beaumont Arms in Kirkheaton (7pm start).
