Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

Gift voucher

These Terms & Conditions apply to all gift vouchers issued by Huddersfield Literature Festival (“HuddLitFest”, “we”, “our”, “the Festival”).
By purchasing or using a voucher, the holder agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

Vouchers may be redeemed against tickets for HuddLitFest 2026 events and workshops booked through Eventbrite only
Vouchers cannot be redeemed against tickets bought on the door of an event or for tickets sold through a third-party box office (i.e. events in the main auditorium at Huddersfield Town Hall or Lawrence Batley Theatre).
Vouchers cannot be redeemed against third-party venue sales, food/drink purchases, or external partner events unless specifically stated.

Vouchers can be redeemed online for all Festival events sold through Eventbrite.
Each voucher carries a unique code that must be entered at checkout.
Vouchers can be used in full or part-payment. If the event price exceeds the voucher value, the balance must be paid by card or other accepted payment method. If the event prices is less than the voucher value, the difference will remain available for use on other ticket purchases.

Vouchers are valid from the date of purchase until 31 May 2026 (note: our official HuddLitFest26 dates are 7-17 May 2026 but we occasionally run events outside Festival dates).
Unused vouchers expire after this date and cannot be extended.

Vouchers are available in fixed denominations (e.g., £10, £20, £25, £50) unless otherwise stated.
Vouchers are non-refundable, except where required by UK consumer law.
Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase other vouchers.
Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced unless proof of purchase can be provided and the code has not yet been redeemed.

If an event purchased using a voucher is cancelled by the Festival:
- The ticket holder will be entitled to either: a) transfer to another HuddLitFest 2026 event of equal value or b) receive a replacement voucher valid until 31 May 2026.
- Refunds for cancelled events will be issued back as Festival vouchers, not cash.

If the full amount isn’t used in one transaction, any remaining balance will stay active on the voucher until expiry.
Balances cannot be transferred to another voucher code.

HuddLitFest reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel a voucher if fraud, misuse, or technical issues are identified.
Unique voucher codes should not be shared publicly.

Vouchers can be gifted or transferred to another person but remain subject to these Terms & Conditions.

Event schedules, programming, and venue details may change. This does not affect the validity of the voucher unless an event purchased with it is cancelled.
