Date: Tuesday 24 March 2020 at 1:30pm

Location: Heritage Quay, University of Huddersfield, Queensgate HD1 3DH

Bibliotherapy is the use of words – poetry, fiction, song lyrics – to support and improve positive outcomes for people with mental health and wellbeing issues.

Bibliotherapy offers the chance to increase coping skills, supports people to take control of their own health and wellbeing and builds resilience. It can help to reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression, and allow participants to feel less isolated, as well as increasing self-esteem and social skills.

An interactive and enjoyable taster session from Words in Mind, delivered by Carrie Hanson.

(Note: another Bibliotherapy Workshop will be held on Saturday 21 March from 1.30pm-3pm).
