Come for a poetic getaway. Join award-winning poet Rose Condo as she takes you on a journey through her debut collection, After the Storm. With live musical accompaniment from Eleonora Rosca on the cello and keyboards.

Rose Condo is an award-winning Canadian poet currently based in Salford.  She studied Theatre & Drama at the University of Winnipeg and earned her MA in Theatre & Development Studies at the University of Leeds. She has been writing, performing and teaching for over 20 years.

Her debut poetry collection After the Storm (Nov 2020) is available from Flapjack Press. She has won many Poetry Slams and has supported acclaimed spoken word artists such as Shane Koyczan and Hollie McNish.

PLEASE NOTE: The venue is the new Parish on Queen Street, not the former venue on Kirkgate.

Her latest solo project, The Empathy Experiment, was shortlisted for Best Spoken Word Show at the 2020 Saboteur Awards, won Best Spoken Word Show at the 2019 Greater Manchester Fringe and received critical acclaim at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe.

Her previous solo spoken word show How To Starve An Artist premiered at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe, was runner up for Best Spoken Word Show in the 2017 Saboteur Awards, and was listed in UMFM’s top ten shows at the 2017 Winnipeg Fringe.

She has won many Poetry Slams and has supported acclaimed spoken word artists such as Shane Koyczan and Hollie McNish.
