Immerse yourself in the hypnotic experience of Qawalli – a performance of music and song in a style dating back to the 13th century and inspired by Sufi religious tradition. Radio Sangam brings Qaisar Mahmood and party to Huddersfield, as part of the Huddersfield Literature Festival. Featuring a local Qawalli group, who take inspiration from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Qawalli’s most famous performer, and folk music from Pakistan. The event will be a three-hour explosion of your musical senses. Ticket price includes a free buffet with vegetarian options, inspired by the cuisine of Pakistan (soft drinks available to purchase).
