Mike Gayle is the author of 15 novels, including his debut Top 10 Sunday Times bestseller My Legendary Girlfriend, Mr Commitment and The Man I Think I Know. Funny, frank and full of painfully acute observations, his books have been translated into more than 30 languages.

Janet Ellis is a novelist, actor and broadcaster best known for presenting Blue Peter and Jigsaw. Her first novel was the dark, twisted love story The Butcher’s Hook; her second novel, How It Was, will be out later this year (image c. Leigh Quinnell).
