Description

A qualified Positive Psychology Practitioner and author of 14 guide books and inspirational memoirs, Cheryl Rickman discusses the activities, techniques and meditations featured in her latest book, designed to bring you closer to happiness.

The Happiness Bible works with the reader to explain how happiness works and evolves, where it comes from, and how it can be nurtured and maintained in order to flourish. The book introduces the principles of positive psychology, the science of happiness, and how it works to achieve happiness. It examines what happiness studies have revealed and how positive psychology exercises help to banish the “thieves of happiness”. It also explores why acceptance of unhappiness is also important in our quest for joy. Tips on being kinder, getting out in nature, nurturing supportive relationships, talking back to mind chatter, cultivating gratitude, finding and savouring the good, using strengths, creating meaning and developing accurate, flexible, optimistic thinking are also included. The book is filled useful quotations that do more than just inspire but also share wisdom worthy of reflection.

Cheryl Rickman has written 14 practical guide books and inspirational memoirs on flourishing in life and business over the past 12 years. From popstars and rappers to death row prisoners and multi-millionaire business leaders, Cheryl has interviewed hundreds of people with extraordinary stories to tell and has ghostwritten best-sellers for a number of them.

As well as writing empowering books to inspire and inform, Cheryl is a qualified Positive Psychology Practitioner, Ambassador of Well-being for the Network of Well-being and contributes to Psychologies magazine and The Huffington Post, among others. Cheryl lives near Winchester, with her husband and their daughter.
