Comedy Workshop: We’ll Laugh About This Later
Sun 02 Apr, 2:00 pm–4:00 pm

About the event
Have you ever been in a tricky situation and thought: “If I don’t laugh, I’ll cry”? Join poetic comedian Zee Y in exploring this concept and encourage yourself to access the joy that exists all around you as a tool for healing.
In this workshop, you’ll be guided through exercises to understand how to work through the negatives to create positives and weave a comedic narrative.
Zee Y is a West Yorkshire-based poetic comedian. Their performance work explores the building blocks of identity while their workshops encourage others to share joy through self-expression using art therapy techniques. Zee has worked with Kirklees Pride, York Anti-Racist Collective, The Brontë Festival of Womens’ Writing and many other grassroots organisations around the region and beyond. They are passionate about representing minoritised communities and often weave this into their work.
